Armies on Parade
Our local Games Workshop store had an “Armies on Parade” event on Saturday. Ty walked across the street to enter his impressive AoS army. In all, there were over 30 very cool armies on display. You can see more photos here.
Legends in the Fall, RockCon, and GameholeCon
A number of great local conventions are coming up in October and early November. I don’t know if the B.o.D. will represent at all of them this year but I have attend these in past years (with exception of the new one).
Legends In the Fall – October 19th – The American Legion Post #911, 515 S. Main St. in Wauconda, IL
This is a small one day con focused almost entirely on miniature gaming. Really great miniature games on awesome tables, run by outstanding gamemasters.
RockCon – October 25th – 27th – Wedgebury Indoor Sports Center, 8800 East Riverside Blvd, Rockford (Loves Park), Illinois 61111
This is the 39th year of RockCon! It keeps getting larger and has filled the entire venue this year. Wide variety of games, good selection of vendors, auction and more.
GameholeCon – November 1st – 3rd – Sheraton Madison Hotel, 706 John Nolen Drive, Madison, WI 53713
This is the first year for GameholeCon. Looks like mostly board and roleplaying events and lots of them for a first year con. Also Frank Mentzer and others gaming notaries will be there running special events and seminars. I’m planning on checking it out.
